July, 2001

Millie was two years old when we adopted her, through Petfinder.com, from our local humane society in July of 2001.
Although she's an adult cat, you'd never know it from her size or her activity level! She's not a large cat, weighing in at about 9 pounds, and she's a regular trapeze artist, leaping distances I never imagined she could span and climbing to places I never would have dreamed she could reach. "Millie, get out of there!" is a common phrase in our house.
She can be sweet, though. If left alone too long, she'll find one of us and demand to be held or petted (not a problem until she does it at 3 AM!).
Also, she has the loudest purr I've ever heard on a cat! Even in the middle of the night, it's hard to be angry at a cat when it is purring in your ear, obviously thrilled to have your attention!
